The Edmonton marathon was on this past Sunday and for the second year in a row, my church mission team and I organized a cheering station along Ada Boulevard, just down the street from the church. We handed out wet sponges and orange wedges which were very much appreciated by the runners.
Unfortunately as I was downloading my pictures, I inadvertently deleted half of them! So I've included some pictures here from last year's event.
It was a good time, and so appreciated by the runners! I can't imagine running 42km ... and what impressed me was that there were runners of all shapes, sizes & ages. My hat goes off to them!
